Location and Surrounding Vibe: The SEGI University Campus is the main campus located in the centre of the Kota Damansara township and not to be mistaken with the Kota Damansara College Campus which is a separate building nearby.
The campus can accommodate 12,000 students at any point in time and houses almost all of the studies offered here from business, accounting, communications, computing, health science, psychology, built environment, arts & design to law. The campus has all the latest learning facilities as well as well stocked libraries and computer labs.
The campus is located in a strategic area near many retail and commercial centres. Various shopping malls like The Strand, Sunway Giza and Tropicana Gardens Mall are only a stone’s throw away, reachable via a 5-10 minute drive or by public transport.
Ease of Accessibility to Campus: The Kota Damansara MRT Station is just next to the campus and provides access to students from Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur. However, traffic around the area can be a little congested at certain times as a hospital and international school are located beside the campus as well.

5.3 Financial Aids
Malaysian students can apply for the National Higher Education Fund or PTPTN which is responsible for giving loans to students pursuing tertiary education. PTPTN falls under the purview of the Ministry of Higher Education.
You can borrow from RM3,400 to a maximum RM50,000 per annum depending on the level and type of course you are taking. PTPTN only charges an annual interest rate of about 1%.
Get this, under the Scheme called PTPTNX’tra, SEGI goes out on a limb to provide B40 students with additional financial aid from the university on top of their PTPTN loan at the same 1% rate.

MBBS Studies
SEGI is known for its affordable medical courses, among them being the MBBS course. It is Malaysia’s first MBBS programme to receive 5 Stars Plus from QS Ratings and is 1 out of 2 institutions in Malaysia to receive such a rating and among 20 only in the world.
As any MBBS course is structured, the first 2 years are the Medical Sciences phase (at the Kota Damansara Campus), focused on building fundamental knowledge and the final 3 years are the Clinical phase (at the Sibu Campus) where students learn more advanced skills and apply these skills through a placement to SEGI’s exclusive partner Sibu Hospital (2nd largest in Sabah).

Dentistry
Let’s kick off with our Degree Unboxing of SEGI’s Dentistry studies!
Dentistry at SEGI is a 5-year journey which starts with the foundation in Years 1 & 2 followed by advanced learning and clinical training from Years 3 to 5. Students are exposed to early patient contact and clinical training, with an emphasis on the recognition and prevention of oral diseases.
SEGI’s Oral Health Centre is an on-campus teaching facility for students to treat actual patients under the guidance of experienced lecturers. Teaching facilities include 58 dental units, 53 prosthetic workstations, 31 Simulator Units, and 6 dental X-ray facilities.
