A Million-Dollar Tech Wonderland The STEM Wing recently celebrated its second anniversary and holds a unique title: it is the first tech facility built inside a shopping mall! The space is designed with huge floor-to-ceiling windows that provide students with a spacious, open study area while offering a breathtaking view of the Marina Bay Sands skyline. The university spared no expense when designing this stunning environment.
Hands-On Science and Engineering The PSB Academy campus tour dives deep into the hands-on learning spaces that make the STEM Wing so special. STEM education here heavily emphasises practical application, analysis, evaluation, and creativity.
- Chemistry and Life Sciences: In the Chemistry Lab, students are divided into small groups of 2 to 3 to ensure everyone gets hands-on experience conducting experiments. The lab is fully equipped for complex chemical analysis using advanced machines like the GC-MS and HPLC.
- Sports Science: For those who think sports science is just working out at the gym, this lab proves otherwise! Students use high-tech 3D cameras to track movements, helping them accurately adjust athletes’ postures and analyse health assessments.
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering: Students can master practical skills in electronics, mechanics, and 3D printing in a dedicated lab that provides a highly comprehensive engineering curriculum.
Robots and Student Living: The coolest stop on this campus tour might just be the Robotics and AI Lab! Filled with drones and interactive robots, this space allows students to learn the very latest in robotics technology while running programming and simulation experiments.
Finally, the tour explores the off-campus student accommodation, known as Campus by TAP. For around 800 SGD a month, students can stay in a shared 6-person room that includes fantastic free amenities like a social kitchen, a chess garden, and a fully equipped cross-fit gym.
