Angel (Host): Hi! Let’s start with a quick introduction. What’s your name, and what are you currently studying?
Martin (UoRM Student): Hello! My name is Martin, and I’m a final-year student studying Real Estate at the University of Reading Malaysia.
Angel: Why did you choose to study this specific programme at the University of Reading Malaysia?
Martin: Besides it being a very prestigious tertiary education campus, I believe a major driving factor for me was the professional body recognitions! Our program offers recognition from major boards like BOVAEP, RICS, RISM, and SISV. Having all those recognitions attached to my degree was a huge reason why I chose to study here.
Also, in terms of education, we have incredibly accomplished and well-versed lecturers. They can lay a very strong foundation for us, and the syllabus actually has a very comprehensive coverage. So altogether, it makes the University of Reading Malaysia a great package and an excellent degree choice!
Angel: The campus sounds amazing! Can you tell me about one of your absolute best experiences here that has prepared you for the future?
Martin: Something that I really have to applaud; speaking on behalf of the Real Estate programme, is how our lecturers are always taking an extra mile in helping students with professional and career development.
Our lecturers will actually provide us with a list of industry partners and give us direct human resource emails! They really encourage us to step out of our comfort zone, push us to greater boundaries, and expose us to the real working world.
I really think that those influences from our lecturers, our seniors, and the Real Estate community being so incredibly supportive of one another is something I really, really like about our programme here!
Angel: Okay, bonus question! Out of 10, how much would you rate your experience at the University of Reading Malaysia?
Martin: From what aspect are you asking?
Angel: Let’s go with the quality of education!
Martin: The quality of the real estate programme is an 11 out of 10! It is a great, great programme! I highly encourage students who are interested in real estate to check it out. Reading is one of the best campuses offering a real estate program for those who are looking forward to it!
