SEGI Subang Campus Tour _ Campus Unboxing

Have you heard about the brand new SEGI Subang campus? It sits at Menara A, Edumetro, Persiaran Subang Permai,
USJ 1, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

Recently, Uni Enrol’s Chloe teamed up with Alex from the Student Experience Office for an exciting SEGI Subang campus tour to explore the fantastic new facilities. Let’s dive into part one of this fun campus tour and see what makes this aesthetic, Muji-style campus so special!

Next-Level Student Chill Zones: The new SEGI Subang location really knows what students want. The tour kicks off with a look at the incredibly cool E-Sports Lab. Not only is it packed with gaming PCs and a PS5, but students can even relax in comfortable massage chairs between gaming sessions!

Arts, Music, and Early Education. The SEGI Subang campus tour then explores the dedicated Art & Music floor. Students get to practice in a Banquet Hall equipped with a mix of traditional and modern instruments, and there is even a piano in every single music practice room!

For future educators, the Early Childhood Simulation Room (named “We Play”) is a major standout. It is fully equipped with toys and learning tools, and the best part is that it frequently opens up to real kindergartens and nurseries, allowing students to gain real-world experience caring for young children.

Media and Hospitality Hubs Media students will absolutely love the Baird TV Studio, featuring professional teleprompters and green screens, alongside the Welles Radio Studio. The host even discovered some fascinating vintage recording equipment carefully preserved in the control room!

Finally, the campus tour highlights the School of Hospitality and Tourism. Students get to practice their housekeeping and room service skills in a highly realistic Hotel Mock-Up Room, and master their culinary arts in the Baking & Pastry Lab and commercial kitchens.

This is just the beginning! Stay tuned for Part 2 of this amazing unboxing series to see even more of what SEGI Subang has to offer.

Exploring City Campus Life: SEGI Subang Campus Tour (Part 2)

Welcome back to the highly anticipated second part of the SEGI Subang campus tour! After exploring the creative and hospitality hubs in part one, Uni Enrol’s Chloe and Alex from the Student Experience Office are back to showcase the science, engineering, and lifestyle perks of the brand-new SEGI Subang campus. If you are looking to study right in the heart of the city while enjoying brand-new facilities, this campus tour will prove why SEGI Subang is the ultimate choice.

A Paradise for Science and Engineering

The SEGI Subang campus is an absolute paradise for tech and science lovers.

  • Science Labs: Students have access to fully equipped Biology and Chemistry labs to conduct their day-to-day experiments. For students worried about high tuition fees, the hosts note that taking the Foundation in Science here is a highly cost-effective choice that can save students a lot of money in their first year.
  • Electrical & Electronic Engineering Lab: Here, students learn the intricate details of circuitry and electronics.
  • Mechanical Engineering Lab: Students get up close with physical machinery, learning how to assemble engine components and utilise heavy-duty tools like bench grinders.

Crafting and Architecture

For those with a flair for design, the Diploma in Interior Architecture offers an incredible Workshop Studio. Acting almost like a handcrafting studio, students use various facilities to build detailed construction demo models—including an impressive replica of a traditional Hakka Tulou and a wall-mounted Batman shelf!

The Ultimate Student Lifestyle

SEGI Subang knows exactly how to treat its students when it’s time to take a break:

  • Games Room & Library: Students can unwind in the Games Room by playing foosball or relaxing in a massage chair. For a quieter vibe, the Resource Centre (Library) offers a cosy environment where students can sit by the large windows and enjoy a healing view of the highway and city skyline.
  • Food & Convenience: This campus is practically a student territory! Right downstairs, students have immediate access to cafes, a print shop, the “3 Legs Cat Canteen”, and a FamilyMart. Best of all, flashing your student ID scores you sweet discounts, like 10% off at Neon Coffee!
  • Staying Active: To burn off those cafe calories, students can utilise the on-campus gymnasium or play a quick game of table tennis.

Unbeatable Commute and Parking

Situated in a golden location, getting to the SEGI Subang campus is incredibly easy. It is highly accessible via LRT, BRT, and MRT lines. The college even provides a free shuttle van that operates from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM (and half-days on Saturdays) to conveniently pick students up from the USJ 7 LRT and South Quay BRT stations. Prefer to drive? Students only need to pay a remarkably cheap flat rate of RM2 per entry by grabbing a parking coupon pass at the reception counter!
