Today, our host Angel Lim sat down with Muhammad Nazri (you can call him Naz!), a passionate student currently pursuing his UNITAR Business Administration degree. We transcribed this fun and insightful Q&A session to give you a real, behind-the-scenes look at campus life, student achievements, and the secrets to surviving a business degree.

Angel (Host): Can you tell us why you chose to study Business Administration at UNITAR?
Naz (UNITAR Student): There are two main reasons! Before this, I was actually doing my Diploma right here at UNITAR. Because I chose to continue my studies here, I got a great discount from the university itself. So, that was a big bonus!
The second reason is my passion. Ever since high school, I have really loved accounting. UNITAR offers a great Finance Major for this degree, so that was a huge reason why I chose to pursue my business studies here.
Angel: As a current student, what advice would you give to future students who want to study business and maybe open their own company someday?
Naz: First things first… do your assignments early! Second, for the business side of things, you really need to have a plan. After you finish your Diploma or Degree, you have to ask yourself: What do you want to achieve? For me, I know for sure that I want to open my own business. But some people might just want to get their degree and work in the corporate world. You need to figure out what your ambition is and plan your next steps around that!
Angel: University isn’t just about studying! What is your absolute best experience on the UNITAR campus so far?
Naz: I have had some really great experiences! I am very active as an emcee. Last year, I actually got to be the emcee for an event with the Ministry of Economy (Kementerian Ekonomi Malaysia) during a major collaboration between them and UNITAR.
Next is definitely my involvement in the Student Representative Council (SRC). I have been in the SRC for two terms now; first as the Secretary, and now I am the Deputy President! Those are definitely my biggest achievements and my favourite memories at the university.
