Angel (Host): Why did you choose to study Early Childhood Education at UNITAR?
Jane (UNITAR Student): Previously, I did my foundation right here at UNITAR, and I was immediately interested when I saw the amazing Early Childhood Education floor and simulation rooms!
I did my research, checked out the course, and looked into the lecturers. Everyone here is so passionate and supportive! On top of that, UNITAR offers a really good environment with incredible facilities for hands-on learning. They also provide PTPTN loan support, which has been a huge help with my studies. 🏫✨
Angel: Teaching is such a noble path! What is your main source of inspiration to study ECE?
Jane: I have always loved working with kids! Seeing their smiles and their joy is the best feeling. I love watching them learn, grow, and develop as they explore new skills every single day. It is actually so heartwarming to see them learn all these things! ❤️
I also think many people aren’t aware that ECE centres are actually a child’s first school environment. It is the place where they learn new daily routines, make their very first friends, and explore the world. I want to make a real difference in their early learning journey and make sure it is fun and memorable!
Angel: Speaking of fun, what is your absolute favourite subject so far?
Jane: So far, I have really enjoyed a subject called Arts and Crafts for Young Children. 🎨✂️
It is all about hands-on learning to create the actual materials that kids use! For one of the activities, we actually created our own DIY Play-Doh completely from scratch using flour, food colouring, and other simple ingredients. We do this to learn exactly how the kids will feel while doing the activity, down to adding googly eyes and decorations! That is definitely one of the subjects I enjoy the most.
