Traditional Chinese Medicine
The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), offered at Xiamen University Malaysia, will give you complete insight into ancient healing methods and contemporary medical approaches. By undergoing the most advanced academic studies and training in the practical field, students will learn acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage techniques, and holistic approaches to health and wellness.
In the first 4 years (pre-clinical), you will learn the fundamental knowledge and develop critical thinking skills to identify and differentiate diseases, and then analyse and apply various TCM treatments. You will also gain hands-on experience through regular attachment (at least 80 hours per year) at TCM providers. To-date, more than 40 TCM clinics is partnering with Xiamen Malaysia for training and research collaborations.
The final 5th year, you will complete your course with an internship abroad in China. The 48-week internship is delivered by both TCM practitioners and consultants of western medicine from the reputable hospitals in China.

Communication Studies
You can choose to study Journalism, Advertising or Communications under the School of Communication. You’ll learn subtle nuances of media, public relations, and marketing campaigns and acquire robust communication skills, critical thoughts, and creativity required in the dynamic world of advertisement and media.
The Xiamen University even co-designed a journalism joint programme with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the USA.

Advertising studies keeps abreast with the use of latest technology and tools as you will begin your curriculum with broad fundamental training with data analysis and visualization.

Computing, Cybersecurity and Data Science Courses
The School of Computing and Data Science at Xiamen University Malaysia addresses the basics of computing, programming, data science, and cyber security studies. Students learn programming languages, algorithms, database management, and network security.
