Location and Surrounding Vibe: In September 2005, Nottingham Malaysia moved to its own purpose-built campus in Semenyih (Selangor) which was designed to reflect the University Park Campus in Nottingham. 

It is a self-contained, vibrant village situated on an attractive and landscaped 125-acre site. It is so spacious that buggies are available for you to go around the campus ground. Multiple buildings are built for different faculties of the university. A residential accommodation for students resides within the campus, as well as a purpose-built sports centre and swimming pool, a student association complex, shops and library. You get a sense of being in a micro-township.

Semenyih is a quiet town locate at the edge of the Selangor border and only a 20 minutes drive into Negeri Sembilan. If you wish for a tranquil campus far from city distractions, this campus is an ideal option.

On campus, there are so many amenities such F&B outlets including chains like ZUS Coffee, MyNews convenience store, electronic outlets, campus clinic, AFFIN banking helpdesk, ATMs, Islamic Centre for prayers and more.

All our rooms are fully furnished with an internet connection. Every floor has a pantry area with kitchenware. Certain rooms have mini refrigerators. There is a coin-operated launderette. Room cleaning services are provided for additional charges. There are lounge areas where students can congregate to watch TV and play games available.

Room rates range from RM395 to RM1,000 per room, per month depending on configurations such as single, twin or quad sharing, the size and quality of the rooms, with or without air-conditioning and so on.

Off-Campus

Students who are not able to secure on-campus accommodation can go for nearby off-campus lodgings. Shuttle service is provided for properties further away from the campus.

There is also another route through the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree, being a 4-year degree programme, with students studying the first 2 years in Malaysia and the final 2 years at the UK campus of Nottingham. It allows direct entry into UK pharmacist job market as it is accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council UK. 

An independent assessment system in UK, Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 reported that 45% of the School’s research output was of “world-leading” quality in terms of originality, significance and rigour.

Nutrition

Nottingham’s BSc (Hons) in Nutrition is accredited by the UK Association for Nutritionists (AfN). After graduation, you are entitled to join the UK Association of Nutritionists as an Associate Nutritionist (ANutr). You can then apply to become a Registered Nutritionist after gaining 3 years of professional experience as an ANutr.

During your second year, you have the opportunity to study at Nottingham’s UK campus for either 1 or 2 semesters.
