The University of Reading has a rich heritage of over 150 years while the world-leading Henley Business School which merged with the university in 2008, has been established for more than 70 years. Reading Malaysia is the only foreign campus outside its 3 other campuses in the UK.

Location and Surrounding Vibe: Situated within the vibrant EduCity Iskandar Puteri in Johor, Reading Malaysia finds its home in a dynamic educational hub attracting prestigious foreign universities. The campus covers an area of 27,000 square meters and seamlessly integrates teaching, research, learning and social spaces harmoniously. The design for the campus made the finals in the World Architecture Festival Awards in 2013. The Heartspace is the central parkland space between the campus’ 2 buildings. There is an amphitheatre for talks, live music and events.



There are also nearby amenities including dining options, retail outlets, and healthcare services. Adjacent to the campus lies the expansive EduCity Sports Complex, a shared space that encourages cross-university interactions among students, fostering a rich academic community.
EduCity, spanning 300 acres of meticulously landscaped grounds, serves as a multifaceted development welcoming not just scholars and innovators but also burgeoning startups at the EduCity Hub and athletes utilizing top-tier sports facilities for training purposes.


Ease of Accessibility to Campus: Navigating the area is made convenient with reliable shuttle services connecting various points of interest. From iconic attractions like Legoland, and X-Park to bustling shopping malls like Paradigm and Megamall in Johor Bahru city centre, all are easily accessible within a 30-minute drive. Moreover, with Singapore just an hour away via the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link expressway, weekend getaways to the neighbouring city-state are effortlessly within reach.
Larkin Sentral is the central bus terminal located in Johor Bahru. The station offers direct bus services to and from many cities and towns in Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore and Hat Yai in Thailand. It is a 30-minute drive from EduCity.

Financial Aids
Malaysian students can apply for the National Higher Education Fund or PTPTN which is responsible for giving loans to students pursuing tertiary education. PTPTN falls under the purview of the Ministry of Higher Education.
You can borrow from RM3,400 to a maximum of RM50,000 per annum depending on the level and type of course you are taking. PTPTN only charges an annual interest rate of about 1%.

Successful graduates will obtain the BSc (Honours) Accounting and Finance certification from University of Reading and the ICAEW Business and Finance Professional designation where they can use the designatory letters ‘BFP’ after their names.

Law Studies
There isn’t many institutions offering Law programmes in the southern region of Malaysia and Reading stands as one of the top destinations to consider.
The Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) offered contains at least 12 substantive law subjects which includes the 6 core-subjects. In the first and second years of the programme is crafted to be in line with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). In the final year, students can focus on their interests and select from a range of elective modules.

The course is fully recognised by the Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia (LPQB) to purse the CLP examination which is offered by Reading as well.
